About Lisa Side

I’ve always loved words and the intellectual pursuit of using them succinctly and creatively to develop communications that will move audiences - heart, mind, body, and soul. Understanding audience wants and needs, developing storytelling that will inspire them to action, and delivering messages to them at the right time and place is my passion. I thrive on it. It gives meaning to my life as a brand marketer, writer, poet, and collaborator. I believe that story is the surround sound of communication. It connects people to people, ideas, movements, places, and products. Story makes listening (or looking or googling or visiting or texting or touching or buying or giving) more interesting and more engaging. Story is a powerful tool for maintaining mission clarity and for keeping tactics aligned with objectives. I like to tell stories that will reach and resonate with a target audience, connect them to an institution, organization, or brand on an emotional level and leave a positive impression in their hearts and minds. I love to discover the hook that no one else looks for, the interesting beyond the obvious, and then tell the story across audience platforms old and new. I get tremendous satisfaction from telling stories that make an impact, whether the objective is to increase awareness, altruism, share, or sales.
