About Lisa Spena

I am Lisa Spena, an Italian French native, graduate student with a master's in teaching Italian as a foreign language. During my undergraduate studies I spent two semesters abroad, one in Germany and the second in Sweden: these experiences lent to a strong personal and professional growth, since I was immersed in a multilingual and multicultural environment. In high school and while traveling I could learn and sharpen my language skills in German, English and Spanish and I worked in different fields that helped the growth of many different soft skills. I worked as a teacher in primary and middle school, developing a great sense of patience and communication both with students and colleagues; I also had experiences in a museum and in a touristic office, where I was in contact with clients and had to solve their issues and my latest job in a restaurant enormously increased my sense of organization and administration and my problem solving skills, since I was working in stress peak situations.
