About Lisa Thew
After taking my first R.A.D. class in 2004 and falling in love with the empowerment that comes through self-defense training, I became a certified R.A.D. Instructor in 2005. Diamond Defense was founded in 2009 in an effort to bring more accessible self-defense training to women and girls the NorCal region. The Diamond Defense curriculum focuses on Risk Awareness and easily-employable Physical Defense Techniques that are accessible to women of all ages and abilities. Everybody has options they can use to defend themselves. I am grateful to be able to help people discover what theirs are so that they are able to feel more confident, safe and secure in their daily lives.
