About Lisa Young

Lisa Young is a research and evaluation consultant with over 16 years of experience in project management, service delivery, mixed methods research and evaluation and impact measurement. With an MSc in Criminology and Social Research Methods from LSBU (distinction), Lisa possesses skills and expertise in qualitative and quantitative data collection, methodological design, and implementation of data collection frameworks to demonstrate and capture key learnings from front line practice, programme delivery and systems change. Lisa's passion for social impact and improving access to help and support services is reflected in the research work she conducts. Lisa engages a diverse range of audiences, including people experiencing multiple disadvantage, homelessness, physical and mental health problems, as well as professional stakeholders from voluntary, statutory, and private sector services. Lisa always ensures that her research approach is people-centric, ensuring that her findings have a real-world impact on the lives of those who need it most. Lisa collaborates with organisations to develop and test theories of change and create impact measurement frameworks that collect stronger evidence about the difference services make to the people they support. She has designed and delivered online and face-to-face training sessions to over 500 practitioners focusing on enhancing support for women experiencing violence and multiple disadvantage, and equipping practitioners with the research methods needed to collect high-quality data and evidence the impact of community support services. With prior experience in managing and delivering frontline services, Lisa has a deep understanding of complex social issues and the importance of delivering evidence-based solutions.
