About Liset van Dijk

I was trained as a home economist at Wageningen University and obtained my PhD-degree in sociology at Utrecht University. I was rewarded a TALENT-stipend by the Netherlands organisation for scientific research (NWO) for a visiting research fellowship at the University of Arizona and the University of Michigan (1995). Afterwards I was a researcher and assistant professor of Sociology at Utrecht University and Wageningen University. From onwards I am employed at Nivel, Netherlands institute for health services research in Utrecht. Currently I am research coordinator of Care and participation of people with a chronic disease and of Pharmaceutical care. In 2007, I joined the Division of Pharmacoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacy at Utrecht University as adjunct faculty (until 2013). As of August 2018, I am honorary professor of Pharmacy Health Services Research at the University of Groningen. My main research interests include medication adherence, pharmaceutical patient care, communication, implementation, and policy evaluation. I am the coordinator of the Make It consortium that evaluates the implementation of adherence interventions. I am member of the honorary editorial board of the journal Patient Preference and Adherence. Also, I serve as a member of the scientific advisory board of the Dutch Pharmacist’s association KNMP and a board member of ESPACOMP (president in 2019). Specialties: adherence to medication, pharmaceutical care, implementation, and communication in the pharmacy setting
