About Lisvet Ortiz

I graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in May 2022. Since then, I’ve been working as a Funding Specialist at Hyundai Capital America, where I process auto loan documents and ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines. This role has helped me develop strong attention to detail, communication, and organization skills. Before joining Hyundai Capital America, I gained valuable experience as a Substitute Teacher at Bridgeport Independent School District and a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington 🧑‍. As a Substitute Teacher, I instructed core subjects and elective classes for grades 4-12, adapting the curriculum and teaching techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners. As a Research Assistant, I developed a software technique for the future U.S. agriculture workforce, leveraging data and technology. I also used Anylogic, a multimethod simulation modeling tool, to create an agent-based model for rice agriculture production. These experiences have enhanced my skills in Excel, accounting, and working with data and technology. I’m passionate about learning new things and applying my knowledge to solve real-world problems. I believe I can bring a fresh and diverse perspective to the team and contribute to the organization’s goals and culture.
