About Liting Tan

Liting Tan is a dedicated Teaching Fellow at the University of Greenwich (UoG) who brings a passion for transformative education and a commitment to student success to her role. Nominated for the Greenwich Excellence Award in 2024, the Star of the Future and Rising Star Awards at the Greenwich Business School (GBS) Staff Awards in 2022 and 2023, and the Inspirational Teaching and Outstanding Personal Tutor Awards at the UoG Student‑Led Teaching Awards in 2021, Liting has consistently demonstrated excellence in her field. As the link tutor for the partnership between GBS and UoG International College (UGIC) and the Oxford International London Centre (OILC), Liting plays a crucial part in bringing educational communities together. Her leadership also includes serving as module leader for several undergraduate modules and acting as interim programme leader for the BA Business Studies programme. Her innovative approaches in these positions have significantly enhanced student engagement and academic performance. Liting’s contributions to curriculum development are especially noteworthy. As a team member who developed the MSc Business Analytics programme, she helped shape a cutting‑edge curriculum. Her co‑creation and design of a Level 6 online module have been instrumental in guiding students through their academic, career and personal development journeys, earning commendable feedback for its impact. Beyond her immediate duties, Liting belongs to the Scholarship Excellence in Business Education (SEBE) group and the Networks and Urban Systems Centre (NUSC). Her involvement in research projects focusing on student engagement, sense of belonging and academic performance highlights her dedication to improving the educational experience. Alongside her full‑time teaching post, Liting is completing a PhD. Her research project focuses on developing a self‑sustaining empowerment model that benefits staff, managers and employers. Looking ahead, Liting aims to continue innovating in teaching, contribute to research and strengthen community networks. Her ambition is not only to educate but also to inspire, creating an environment where every student and tutor can thrive and achieve their full potential.
