About Liv Cerba

my opinions are my own* I am a young professional passionate about digital communications as well as advocacy for gender equality, especially within UN spaces and at the national level in Canada. My autonomous participation to the 67th, 68th and soon 69th Commission on the Status of Women has strengthened my desire to be part of global efforts to advance women's rights. I am currently a Junior International Project Officer at the Paul Gérin Lajoie Foundation, based in Montréal, Canada. I work mainly on a women's climate resilience project in the Democratic Republic of Congo called "Femmes en Action" as well as "Agri-résilience" in Bénin, focused on women agroentrepreneurs. I am also part of the Emerging Leaders' network at Cooperation Canada. In 2024, I co-founded Génération Cinq, a youth francophone platform to promote gender equality work within multilateral spaces. We are attending CSW69 this year and organizing a parallel event to create a momentum for youth engagement towards gender equality. In 2020, I took a gap year to launch my own organisation "Women of the World". It aims to empower women and create a caring community where their stories can be shared and their opinions valued. Four years later, I joined two friends to launch "Génération Cinq", a francophone plateform for youth engagement towards gender equality.
