About Liya George

Hey, My journey to becoming a data analyst is a bit of plot twist. I started with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, then worked at Amazon in a support role for 3 years before diving headfirst into the world of data. While at Amazon in advertising services, I discovered my passion for data by analyzing customer feedback to find sources of dissatisfaction and brainstorming solutions. This experience sparked my interest in data, leading me to master Excel functions and Pivot Tables and eventually discover the magic of data visualization with Power BI. To further my skills, I pursued a Master's in Business Analytics and a Data Science certificate from the Indian Institute of Management. These experiences helped me hone my skills in SQL, Python, Excel, R, Tableau, Power BI, and SPSS. I realized that doing projects is the best way to learn, so I started experimenting with dashboards and became obsessed with uncovering the stories data can tell. As a data analyst, I have had the pleasure of working closely with the product team and diving deep into campaign analytics. My toolbox includes SQL, Python, Amazon Quicksight, and good old Excel, which I use to extract, analyze, and visualize data, uncovering insights that drive business decisions. What I love most about analytics is the perfect blend of precision and creativity—it’s all about finding the story in the numbers and bringing it to life through visualizations. As a data analyst, I am responsible for- Analyzing complex datasets to uncover actionable insights - Creating visually compelling dashboards and reports - Collaborating with product and marketing teams to drive data-informed decisions - Writing detailed analytics reports and presentations - Developing and maintaining data pipelines and workflows - Tracking and measuring campaign performance and business metrics
