About Liya Wilms

International Background: I am a multilingual student, of bicultural heritage, who has grown up in four different continents. This has allowed me to develop a strong global outlook and feel comfortable in international environments. Leadership Skills: Continuously volunteering and being elected as project manager for group projects within the modules of my bachelor’s degree, highlights not only my ability and strength in navigating intercultural teams; it furthermore emphasises my strategic management and teamwork skills. Courageous & Motivated: I strive for success despite obstacles and challenges; whether it be taking on unfamiliar tasks as an intern, with devotion and energy, or choosing to move and study in a foreign country, albeit one that has always fascinated me, but which requires me to learn a new language and adapt to a new culture and environment.Disciplined & Focused: Setting ambitious academic goals and balancing them with broad social activities including health and fitness, exploring Grenoble and the surrounding regions and endeavouring to be an active, positive and constructive member of the GEM community.
