Deputy Project Manager for Rail working on some large multi-disciplinary projects, most recently for Network Rail, Perfect Circle and West Midlands Combined Authority where I was responsible for cost management, change management, internal and external reporting, raising applications for payment and financial forecasts. As a Deputy Project Manager I am responsible for following internal processes which includes ensuring our projects are up to date with supporting documents and external processes in line with contract requirements. My project experience included various contract types including NEC. Following on from the various financial roles, I have proven experience in providing financial support to projects across many business lines working alongside Project Managers to ensure systems are updated with a solid audit trail for both internal and external inspection and revenue/margin is accurately recorded. As part of this responsibility, I held monthly project reviews as well as quarterly Tier 1 reviews and ensured they were recorded in line with company requirements. As a Commercial Assistant to the Rail Sector, I analysed the performance of all projects in sector and pursued updates required to help the business close period ends while providing support and financial development to the Project Management Community. In order to cascade monthly performance and KPIs, I developed reports and dashboards to provide the Sector with performance against plan. Prior to joining Rail, I worked in finance as a Project Accountant where I provided support to various sectors to keep projects up to date with accurate revenue recognitions, billing and cash collection and to support audits. I am a keen gardener, I like to grow my own vegetables and fruit. I love music, particularly and watching live bands. I enjoy leisurely walks. Although cooking is not my strongest point, I do try to cook meals from scratch and pick up new ideas.
