About Liz Corrigan

I have spent ten years working in disaster recovery, public infrastructure, sustainability and strategic planning. I witnessed firsthand the challenges of rebuilding after disasters. Early in my career I worked at the community level responding to emergencies with the American Red Cross. I saw communities repeatedly devastated by the same hazards, often rebuilding infrastructure just as vulnerable as before. This realization drove me to explore a better way, a way to integrate resilience and sustainability into the recovery process. Since my early career, i've expanded my expertise in infrastructure, resilience and sustainability, ultimately securing my current position leading teams of 5-20 from across the agency to form the first sustainable infrastructure policies enabling the nation’s largest disaster recovery and mitigation programs to incorporate resilience solutions. My career has been defined by bridging operations and policy, creating thorough and well rounded strategy and ensuring that infrastructure investments are not just reactive, but proactive, designed to withstand future risks while reducing environmental impact. I am excited about the opportunity to apply my skills in sustainable infrastructure, stakeholder engagement, and strategic development to drive meaningful change.
