About Liz Fried

A proud 30-year resident of New Rochelle, Liz Fried has been both a leader and highly active volunteer, working cooperatively with families, taxpayers, and public officials to deliver significant results for our city and schools. Liz’s extensive record of community service includes positions such as: President of the League of Women Voters of New Rochelle, President of the Davis School PTA, Vice President of the New Rochelle PTA Council, and Board Member of the Beechmont Neighborhood Association. Before entering public service, Liz devoted her professional career to finance. She served as the Director of Capital Markets at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) where she managed the relationship between a large public agency and the private sector. After leaving Freddie Mac, Liz transitioned into the world of investment banking, achieving the title of Vice President of Corporate Finance at Oppenheimer and Co. Liz’s academic background spans government and finance. She earned her undergraduate degree in political science at Vassar College, and her Masters degree in international economics from Columbia University.
