With over a decade of experience in event management and marketing, I am dedicated to fostering community engagement through dynamic events and strategic collaborations. Currently, as the Event Director for the Jacksonville Business Journal, I produce a wide range of events, including corporate awards, panels, and private dinners for audiences of 15 to 400. My work involves managing sponsor relationships, engaging the community to boost award nominations and attendance, overseeing budgets, and collaborating with editorial and sales teams to craft effective marketing strategies. Previously, I managed the Riverside Arts Market, a vibrant weekly gathering featuring over 100 artists and makers. I strengthened partnerships, enhanced branding to champion the "Support Local" mission, and increased market revenue by 18% through strategic sponsorships and collaborations. Earlier in my career, I revitalized Jacksonville’s oldest public park as the Events and Programming Director for Friends of Hemming Park, now James Weldon Johnson Park. I developed programming that attracted visitors annually and led teams to enhance the park’s welcoming atmosphere. I am committed to building connections and dedicating myself fully to initiatives that elevate Jax to be a thriving community.
