Background

About Liz MacKenzie

I am an MCIPS chartered procurement professional, passionate about the environment, sustainability and ethics in all spheres of IT purchasing. I have ten years plus experience in the public sector arena. Au fait with licensing and the complexities within its surrounds in academia, at home with large scale purchasing and tendering processes, utilising framework agreements and the use of digital platforms to this end. I am a practiced contract manager overseeing an array of small- and large-scale estates. I have a BSc in Environmental Management and Technology marrying my two passions, procurement and the environment as I believe these are inextricably linked. The dream is to be able to take this passion and energy in order to deliver better purchasing outcomes both financially and environmentally whilst holding fast to the ethics, integrity and values I live by. I have a particular interest in digitisation and the way that this can increasingly enable better traceability, transparency, and highlight any potential abuses within the often-complex world of IT global supply chains. Outside of the day job I love the arts, travel food and wine…in no particular order, a certain nirvana would of course be any event which encompassed all of the above!
