About Liz Morgan

I began my career within the healthcare system as an inpatient unit clerk in the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit. It is truly fulfilling to provide support to the medical staff on my unit and comfort to the loved ones of our patients. After spending more than a decade in that role, I developed an interest in providing direct patient care. My fascination with the use of various radiologic modalities to diagnose and treat neurosurgery patients lead me to apply to the radiography program at Washtenaw Community College. During my clinical hours, I gained hands-on experience with both adult and pediatric patients in general x-ray, GI/GU, the operating rooms, arthrography, mobile x-ray, and trauma imaging. I have assisted or independently performed over 2,500 exams during this time. My first year of clinical experience focused heavily on learning the basics of patient interaction and radiographic positioning. My second year of clinical experience gave me the chance to expand on my newly developed skills and gain the confidence to work more independently. In addition to my technical skills, I am committed to providing compassionate and equitable patient care. While I look forward to growing my skills in general x-ray, I have developed interests in both interventional radiology and MRI. I hope to specialize in one of these areas as I move forward in my career.
