About Liza Laya

Liza Laya is a Business Analysis (BA) Manager based in Melbourne, Australia with more than 23 years of local and international experience. She currently leads a team of talented BAs and has established a BA centre of excellence in her organisation. She is a Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®), a Certified Professional in Requirements Engineering (CPRE), and a Certified SAFe 6 Agilist, with IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA®-AAC), a Scrum Master Accredited Certification™, an ITIL Service Management certification, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Liza previously served as the Chair of the IIBA Melbourne Branch and remains actively engaged as a volunteer within the BA community. Liza started her professional career in Information Technology as a software developer and was a project manager before becoming a BA professional. Having worked in business transformation, process design and re-engineering, and systems implementation projects in Australia, USA and the Asia Pacific, she continues to do what she’s passionate about – successfully delivering projects and solutions that meet the needs of the business, customers and end-users and bring value to the organisation.
