About Lize Visser

Born in South Africa. Studied at UJ, and obtained a BCom, Dip FMI, Dip AUT, MDP and Leader as a Coach GIBS. Started my career in Financial services in 1994 at RMB Unit Trust, and during the 30 years in financial services, I fulfilled numerous senior, executive and executive director roles at RMB, Plexus Asset Management, Investec Asset Management (91), Absa Wealth and Investments, PSG Wealth and Nedbank Wealth Management SA where I was responsible for managing the operational, financial and regulatory sides of financial planning and private wealth. This means a wealth of experience on various levels in strategising, formalizing and execution in sales and distribution and the marketing of all products and services in the financial services industry from banking and lending, health, life and short term insurance, investments on and off balance sheet, locally or globally, structuring of wealth and philanthropy. I have managed and lead over 400 staff. I have been a representative and KI for listed companies and represented PSG on ASISA Board committee. And I am a qualified and registered adviser. Fixing businesses and building new strategies for better outcomes energises and motivates me. I am passionate about applying my specialist skills to all distribution channels and platforms, sales, marketing and communications challenges in the financial services industry. I am an inclusive leader, and give my time to people with can do attitude, energy and integrity. And believe anything is possible with the right people and support. My biggest career achievements are the formalising and implementation of an investment strategy for Absa brokers and turning the AIMS LISP into a profitable business in 18 months. Then launching a first RDR ready investment platform for PSG Wealth and played a pivotal role in the success and growth of the PSG Solutions and LISP. My most recent success at Nedbank Wealth Management SA was leading the strategy in winning Intellidex awards and the launch of advice practices that is not only new to Nedbank but first to the banking industry in SA.
