With over 30 years of leadership experience across defence and policing, I bring a proven record of delivering operational excellence, strategic transformation, and multi-million-pound efficiency gains. Currently serving as Head of Fleet for Dorset Police and Devon & Cornwall Police, I oversee 1,700+ vehicles across 3 counties, lead a team of 60 staff across 7 sites, and manage £7m revenue and £8m capital budgets. My remit spans fleet management, logistics, procurement, compliance, sustainability, and operational readiness, ensuring frontline policing remains mission-ready 24/7. Key achievements include: • Delivered ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, standardising processes and raising customer satisfaction. • Secured significant cost savings through strategic procurement, supplier negotiations, and fleet optimisation. • Maintained operational continuity during global supply chain shortages. • Championed innovation strategy, introducing digital solutions and technology to improve performance and public safety. • Led the Strategic Alliance of two police forces, delivering substantial revenue savings. My career began as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Navy, where I honed skills in strategic planning, crisis management, and international logistics, managing budgets of £300m+ and teams of 200+ personnel on operations worldwide. As an MBA-qualified, Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), and Fellow of the Institute of Leadership (FIoL), I combine academic rigour with practical leadership to deliver results in complex, high-pressure environments.
