About Lloyd B.

From the age of 13, I worked with my dad at his busy scuba diving centre in Burntisland, learning the ropes long before I ever thought about diving professionally. At 16, I qualified as a lifeguard and spent two years working poolside before deciding to pursue a commercial diving career. I began my diving career in 2013, training as a Commercial Diver in Fort William funded after years of saving money working as a lifeguard. From there, I gained experience inshore across the UK and overseas before landing my first offshore job off the coast of Libya. After completing my saturation diving course—with no guarantee of future work at the time—I eventually broke into offshore operations in the North Sea. My offshore air diving experience opened the door to working with Subsea 7, where I’ve since built a career spanning the North Sea to Brunei. During Covid, I took my first trip as a standby diver onboard the Seven Atlantic. After this trip, I was finally " in the bin" and today I hold ODIA Professional Saturation Diver certification. I’ve had the privilege of working on some of the most complex fields in the North Sea alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. Outside diving, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak. I enjoy building businesses from the ground up—seeing what works, what doesn’t, and what can grow. Always happy to connect with others - feel free to send an invite.
