About Lloyd Maxwell

Lloyd Maxwell is a dedicated and driven student pursuing a degree in Political Science at Howard University. Hailing from the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, He is deeply committed to understanding the complexities of our political landscape, and advocating for positive change in our society. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University in May 2024, he plans on applying and attending Law School, and enrolling in a J.D./Master's Dual Degree Program. Throughout his academic journey, Lloyd has actively engaged in campus leadership and community development. As the current serving Community Service Chair of the Howard University Chapter, the Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, He has led and supported a team of 20+ chapter members in organizing impactful programming, events, and community service initiatives for the Howard University community. Additionally, he has mentored and built relationships with DMV area middle & high schools, empowering students with knowledge on academics, the arts, and health and wellness. As an Ambassador for the College Board's "BigFuture" program, Lloyd has contributed to SAT preparation efforts for high school students at his alma mater in Chicago. Collaborating with fellow ambassadors, I have assisted students in overcoming test-taking anxiety and provided guidance on college preparation, emphasizing the importance of higher education and unlocking their potential. Lloyd also serves the Howard community in the Society of Collegiate Black Men. In this organization, He aids the organization by managing administrative logistics for events, including budget administration, event booking, and promotion. Lloyd takes a proactive approach to evaluating existing plans and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and delivering exceptional experiences for our members. Lloyd is excited to connect with fellow professionals, mentors, and potential collaborators who share a common passion for political science, law, consulting management, and social justice. He has strong interests in public policy, consulting, and social activism.
