About Logan Barrett
I am a recent music graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with both a MM in Instrumental Conducting and a BM in Saxophone Performance. I have several years of experience teaching private lessons, woodwind sectionals, and ensembles of various combinations. I have a passion for knowledge and sharing it with others, as well as inspiring empathy within others. I also have 10 years of experience in the food service and retail industries that have allowed me to stand on solid ground and know the value of hard work. My proudest achievements have been: Performing with the Spectra Sax Quartet at the 2017 International Navy Band Saxophone Symposium Being awarded the Benjamin E. Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship to aid me in studying in Vienna for a music history course (2018) Founding and directing a saxophone ensemble with complete creative control as part of my graduate assistant work at MTSU (2021 - 2022) My dream is to create and be the director of my own local wind orchestra with a voluntary lecture component, with regular performances of arrangements, original works and new music for the wind band medium.
