About Logan Clancy

I am a G.I.T. and a practicing Health, Safety & Environmental Technician at Safetech Environmental Ltd, supporting a range of environmental consulting projects across Canada. My responsibilities include occupational hygiene monitoring, designated substance surveys (DSSRs), sampling for asbestos and mould, and Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments. I also assist with vapor intrusion testing and hazard identification in buildings, combining field-based assessments with regulatory reporting to support safe, compliant environments. I hold an MSc in Applied Environmental Geology from Cardiff University, where I studied hydrogeology, environmental geochemistry, contaminated land management, and geological hazard assessment. My dissertation—completed in collaboration with MEM Ltd—focused on carbon sequestration in mine waste, a project that strengthened my geochemical interpretation skills and deepened my understanding of sustainable resource management. Prior to that, I completed a BScH in Geological Sciences Specialization at Queen’s University. My academic foundation included coursework in clastic sedimentology, geophysics, mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry, along with field mapping and site investigation techniques. I also conducted an undergraduate thesis on the geological exploration of Frontenac Provincial Park. I’m especially interested in how geology intersects with health, sustainability, and regulatory compliance—whether through assessing contaminated sites, supporting hazardous materials abatement, or contributing to sustainable environmental solutions. I’m always open to learning and collaboration in areas such as remediation, air quality, and environmental monitoring.
