About Logan Cummings

My name is Logan Cummings, I am expected to graduate from the University of Akron in 2025 with a bachelor's in Financial Planning. I started working, the second I could get my worker's permit from my high school at 15 and half. I ended up working at my city pool the summer of my sophomore year in high school, which greatly developed my public speaking and customer service skills. From there I decided to get a job during the school year in 2020 at Giant Eagle (Market District). I enjoyed the food industry, as I had a personal passion for cooking. Due to COVID-19, hours became scarce and I landed a line cook position at a nearby golf course attached restaurant. Due to my age approaching 18, I developed an interest in investing in various stocks and crypto currencies. I managed to make some very successful investments with a small amount of money, making over 100% total returns on my first year. After a year in Engineering, I decided to pursue finance as a degree instead as I became more interested in personal finance. I then landed an internship at Northwestern Mutual, and remained there for around 6 months. I recognized some patterns, specifically within the cryptocurrency space as the value of these coins was not based in the preconceived theories on investing through more mainstream devices such as ETF's, Socks, Bonds, and Mutual Funds. My experience with Northwestern Mutual helped me to receive my license in health, accident, and disability insurance, and gave insight on different investment vehicles that I learned through my education at the University of Akron. In turn I developed some experience in the field of sales.
