About Logan Jensen

I started as the Broadcast and Community Manager for Maverick Esports at MNSU in Spring of 2023. I moderated the Twitch chat, spectated the matches, and coordinated with the casters and production staff. That summer I helped run our summer camp for Middle and High School students to learn about Esports, streaming, and playing games competitively. At the start of the Fall 2023 semester, I formed the Overwatch team at MNSU. I started as the Manager and Coach for the team. We competed in NACE, Activision Blizzard Collegiate, and Flash-Ops. During the Spring 2024 semester, I played on the team in addition to managing and coaching the team. We competed in NACE and the Overwatch Collegiate Championship Series. We won the top division in NACE Varsity Plus and placed 80th in OWCC. I also became the Maverick Gaming RSO President during this time. The RSO's goal is to reach the large gaming community on campus to host events, bring the community together, and help grow our Varsity program. Over the summer I helped run our Middle and High School summer camp again. I also started my internship for Maverick Esports. I did tabling events in St. Cloud, MN and Rochester, MN to promote both the Esports program and Rockstar Energy Drinks, helped order new PCs and peripherals, helped set up the new PCs, cleaned and organized the facility, and ultimately helped prepare the program for the upcoming school year. Lastly, I planned and organized a Collegiate Overwatch tournament for the upcoming Fall 2024 semester. The tournament will consist of a 2-month online qualifiers and ending in a championship bracket hosted here at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
