Greetings and welcome to my LinkedIn profile! My name is Logan Lorenz, and I am a student affairs professional with over ten years of experience in higher education. I am currently a Career Strategist with the UBC Sauder School of Business, where I support the career development of graduate students. I am passionate about higher education, and my journey began as an undergraduate student where I was deeply involved in various activities on campus. Since then, I have worked or studied at six different higher education institutions in British Columbia, Alberta, and South Korea, gaining experience in various areas such as career development, student engagement, event management, international education, and Indigenization. My skill set revolves around the student experience, and I have developed expertise in career coaching and advising, event management, and program management. Moreover, my soft skills, such as empathy, active listening, critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and cultural competency, are invaluable in this field. When I'm not working or studying, you can find me exploring the city on my bike, sampling the best local craft beer, or whipping up a delicious cup of coffee at home. I'm also a fan of board games and love traveling both locally and abroad, having visited Japan, Australia, Southeast Asia, and studied abroad in South Korea. My professional growth is ongoing, and I am always looking forward to learning about the future of work, higher education, and how we can make it better for learners.
