About Logan Matthew

I am a keen, hard-working, skillful IT analyst with leadership skills! In the past few years I have switched my career focus to IT because it has been something I have been passionate about since I was a child. Since switching to IT I have been the top student in my program maintaining a perfect GPA, worked with my fellow students over a semester to develop a project and presentation that won first prize out of 58 groups, while working part-time in the industry. I work hard to stay ahead of trends and use all my possible resources to be the best possible version of myself I can be. Through my 3-year Advanced Diploma Computer Systems Technology program at Durham College I have learned skills such as creating, managing, and maintaining Linux & Windows devices and servers, various languages (Python, C++, Bash, HTML, CSS), effective Access and SQL database creation and implementation, Cisco networking and more. I have maintained a perfect 5.0 GPA throughout my time in the Computer Systems Technology program. During my time as a Project Assistant with the Durham College Records Management Office, I have gained professional office experience and further honed my interpersonal, communication, and attention to detail skills. While working in the small team, we worked to revamp the College's forms to match the College and Provincial accessibility standards. We worked with each department, specializing and tailoring forms to the department's requests while also adhering to the College's strict style and language standards. We consistently sought out and implemented methods and solutions to make the process more efficient while meeting tight deadlines. I am a natural leader with proven leadership and management skills while working in small or large teams. In my past career working in kitchens, I consistently showed initiative, the ability to learn quickly, and teamwork skills. I learned how to work, function, and thrive in intense, detail-oriented, and demanding environments. Once I obtain my Advanced Diploma, I intend on furthering my learning by completing certificates such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Networking+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner as well as returning to Durham College to complete the Cybersecurity graduate certificate.
