About Logan McUne

What is your superpower? When I was a kid, I would always answer with,"Super Strength, duh!" Hi, I'm Logan, and as I got older and continued pondering this age old question, I started to see it from a different perspective and ask myself this question from a more realistic viewpoint. This allowed me to find out what this question really meant to me. It allowed me to focus on my real world strengths and hone in on what really made me, me. I've come to realize that the greatest "superpower" I have is that I have always derived by strength from the people around me. My inquisitive mind has always lead to me leveraging the minds of those that came before me so that I can learn as quickly and efficiently as possible. I come from a background in sales and medicine. I understand these two things might sound odd when paired together initially, but ultimately they both boil down to the same thing. Caring for the customer/patient. Another benefit to these two career fields is that both enabled the development of my excellent communicative skills. as well as fostered my love for logical reasoning. As a salesman, you're constantly touching base with your client, ensuring you're meeting their needs every step of the way. As an EMT, you need to make sure that while you're communicating with your patient and taking in the information you're fed that you are also using deductive reasoning to determine their source of distress so that you can act quickly. In both of these careers I have seen how technology can make such a positive impact on the world around us. It can provide a customer with useful information, meeting times or an avenue for direct, instant communication. It can not only provide medical professionals with many ways to treat, transport and communicate with patients, but it can also provide patients an effective way to communicate their ailments before help arrives in a moment where every passing second is invaluable. All of my experiences combined have lead to my love for technology and have fostered my fascinationwith the endless possibilities it brings. I want to be a part of that positive impact that I have seen throughout my life, and am halfway through Tech Elevator to make it so.
