About Logan Meinzer

Safety and professionalism are the two hallmarks of part 121 aviation. I am proud to be a part of an esteemed industry, and to contribute to the success of the aviation community through my career, mentorship, and volunteer work. I first began my career in aviation as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines. From the start I fell in love with aviation and felt excited to be working at a legacy airline. In Chicago I became familiar with the flight management team after offering to work special assignments such as the Tablet Help Desk and Ramp Coordinator, facilitating the first departures of the day. This was a wonderful opportunity to help my colleagues, while learning more about the overall AA operation. It was in 2018 that I first flew a small plane and started my flight training. It felt like a risk, leaving a job I enjoyed so much to pursue a career as a pilot. But looking back, this was easily the best decision I have ever made. Since I was young, I have always tried to improve and challenge myself. Earning my pilot certificates has been the most rewarding experience of my life. Now, as a first officer at United Airlines, I am proud to be a representative of my airline and the aviation industry. Although this position is the culmination of years of study and hard work, I enjoy the constant process of learning as an aviator. By seeking ways to become a better pilot and contribute to the aviation community, I am excited for all that lies ahead.
