About Logan Wells

I am a recent graduate from the University of North Carolina of Wilmington where I obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Film Studies and graduated with Magna Cum Laude University Honors. I've focused my efforts both in and out of school on creating a deep understanding of all aspects of media production. From being a part of the filmmaking process both on-set and in administrative settings, I've gained a perspective for what constitutes effective procedures and what leads to achieving a positive and successful workplace. Through administrative internships such as Voyage Media, Working Films, and Lighthouse Films, I viewed first-hand the variation between different modes of production and what must be considered to achieve success in their respective forms. The logistics behind their practices, as well as the attitudes and personalities of my coworkers, I found to be essential in maintaining good relationships with clients and contributing to a successful business.In other roles with the Wilmington Film Commission, Reel Health/Amazon Studios, and Sony Studios, I had to utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate ideas, sometimes unfavorable or complex, but necessary for completing essential tasks. Through these experiences I have found maintaining patience and understanding, as well as an appreciation for multiple perspectives, to be essential in fulfilling objectives.In my personal attempts to relay ideas in media production I have achieved success. I have been published five separate times in the film magazine, Film Matters. Separately, an independent film I produced, The Ol' College Try, was selected as part of the Raleigh Film & Arts Festival. I've come to understand that positivity and understanding, as well as determination and patience, are essential in maintaining an effective work environment. As I continue to garner experience and wisdom, I hope to pursue new opportunities and continue to contribute in a media production setting.
