About Loganathan Ramasamy

My overall expertise lie in natural language processing (NLP) and related subtasks in NLP. Major part of my research work thus far focused on working with low-resource languages and corpus linguistics. I have experience working in most of the standard NLP tasks. During my PhD, I worked on one of the most pertinent problem facing corpus-based or data-oriented dependency parsing, i.e, how to parse a low-resource natural language that either has no annotated dependency treebank or has little other resources such as part-of-speech (POS) taggers. When it comes to NLP concerning low-resource languages, I am inclined to apply semi-supervised and cross-lingual approaches.
