About Loic Ragas

Senior hydrogeologist and project manager with more than 20 years of experience in water resources, environmental and mining projects in Europe, South America and Africa. In Piteau Associates Chile, I am currently leading hidrogeological projects in Chile/Perú and developing the business in the mining sector for the Andes region. I have been previously leading WSP groundwater modeling team in Chile and also contributing to develop the company business in mining services. Between 2014 and 2017, I have been working at ARTELIA (ex SOGREAH) in Grenoble head office to develop overseas activities and lead projects related to groundwater resources, contamination and interactions with underground infrastructures. Previously, I have been working for Schlumberger for 7 years as project manager and senior groundwater modeller, leading operational and exploration mining projects for BHP Billiton, Andina Minerals, Antofagasta Minerals, Teck (Chile), Minera Gold Fields, Newmont and Freeport McMoran (Peru). I have also worked for 4 years as consultant hydrogeologist and project manager for the UK Environment Agency in East Anglian environmental projects. Also involved in groundwater modelling and field studies for the mineral and nuclear sectors (UKAEA, Scotland). I have a Master of Science in Hydrogeology from the University of East Anglia and I am fluent in English, Spanish and French.
