Lois Warner began divorce and family mediation in 1997 and developed a nonprofit organization (Mediation Works North) in 2001. Prior to this, she was an official court reporter working in St. Louis County, 4 years with Honorable Charles Barnes in Duluth, Minnesota an 6 years with Honorable Donovan Frank. After leaving the court reporting field she worked as a legal assistant doing trial preparation and then incorporated legal assistant drafting services for pro se divorce into her mediation practice. She retired as a mediator in 2018 but she is still listed as a qualified Early Neutral Evaluator in St. Louis County, Minnesota. She developed a Minnesota Supreme Court approved online divorce and co parent program (Impact Parent Education)in 2015 at upon retiring mediation.
