About Lonnae Hickman

Portfolio Website: https://lareyboy.wixsite.com/lonnaesportfolio My name is Lonnae (LUH-NAE) Hickman, I'm a graduate of DePaul University with a double major in Theatre Arts and American Studies. I'm passionate about all forms of theatre and entertainment, but specifically, those that elevate Black, Queer, and Indigenous voices outside of the white gaze. I've honed my skills in prop design and creation, puppetry, and immersive forms of theatre for the past five years. I've also been working on building communication, research, and photoshop skills to turn them into positive visual design onstage and offstage. I crave an environment that allows me to be challenged in my skillset, but also one that cares about its collective community. Along with my passion for storytelling, I have various qualifications in speaking and writing as well. Some of my work has been published by Rescripted, an independent theatre review organization in Chicago and the Bay area.
