About Lora Campbell

My extensive experience as a certified litigator, negotiator, college board trustee, mentor, volunteer and corporate leader enable me to apply different perspectives in order to advocate best practices in corporate governance. I am looking for a Board position to protect the capital markets. Throughout my 30 year career, I have represented a variety of businesses which include large entities such as food chains, universities and gas companies, smaller, family owned businesses and new start up entities. I protect their interests and minimize their risk. I am passionate in my representation of each business. My focus is on my clients. It begins by understanding their needs, narrowing issues, listening closely and solving their problems. It is essential to be prepared. Oftentimes I need to think outside the box, adapt to new discovery and to look beyond the evidence. I also believe in paying it forward. I was able to do Pro Bono work in representing high school students. Most of these teenagers made a mistake. Unfortunately, these mistakes can have lasting effects. It was essential to be discreet, understanding and patient. I volunteered my time for these families. Now the result of my efforts is seeing successful, appreciative, young adults. Another example of paying it forward was serving on a College Board. During my tenure we revised by-laws, completed a president search, negotiated faculty contracts and reduced tuition. It was essential to adapt to various personalties while maintaining my fiduciary responsibility. At this point in my career, I am seeking a board member position. I am interested in sharing my legal expertise. I have integrity, business acumen, skills in problem solving and the ability to find solutions. Further, my past board and work experience have involved critical topics like succession plans, management, and fundraising. I look forward to a board role that would give me the opportunity to be engaged in an impactful and meaningful way. INTERESTS: travel, fitness, football, fashion
