I’m a committed professional with a wealth of experience in program management and technical skills centered around applied epidemiology that focuses on improving all aspects of health data quality and use. I have a multitude of experience working with zoonotic, vector-borne, and emerging/re-emerging diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases, outbreak investigation, and emergency response. I worked for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for over 12 years and in global public health for more than 15 years. Throughout my career, I’ve taken lead roles in advancing organizational aims. Notably living and working in Nigeria on polio eradication and advancing One Health strategies. I’m very well-versed in the niche challenges of developing countries and the need for scalable, sustainable, culturally sensitive high-quality programs. My expertise is assessing and improving health information systems, improving data quality and use, and translating data using integrated thinking and an inclusive leadership style. I foster and develop strong and empowered multi-cultural teams. During my career, I’ve acquired vast experience of working in a complex environment with intricate stakeholder networks and multiple funding streams, requiring delivery on manifold outcomes. I’m always driven to cultivate opportunities for longer-term funding, strategic partnerships, improved momentum and expanded impact. I’m proficient to oversee programmatic, technical, human resources and administrative aspects. With a big picture approach and acute attention to detail, I take pride in exceeding expectations. My systems thinking and strong quantitative analytical skills enable me to identify program needs and outcomes. Highly versatile, I’m comfortable in a wide range of cultural, geographic and operational evaluate situations, field and office based.
