About Lora Mitchell

I am a conduit of change and forward movement in my communities. I have done this through positions in education, political campaigns, writing, and most recently as a phlebotomist. I am an advocate and conduit- I utilize my skills and experience to help people live their authentic lives, find resources to build the lives they desire, and secure the rights of marginalized people in the political process. I am an educator- I have dedicated 20+ years of my life to working with adolescents and young adults in various capacities. I believe in helping young people see their potential, talents, and gifts and guiding them towards using them for their upliftment and for participating as active, responsible citizens in their larger communities and country. I am a leader- Whether in my position as a field organizer, youth minister, or educator, I have managed, mentored, and guided people and teams in the work of improving our communities and country. I am passionate about politics and social justice- I care about people, communities, and our country. Through community partnerships, volunteer work, and direct work with campaigns I have worked to secure the rights of poor and marginalized communities as well as helping so many to participate in shaping our country on its journey to being a fair, equitable, and just place to live.
