About Lora Morgan

In a decade of experience in Archives & Preservation, I have acquired knowledge and passion for the processing, management, preservation, and accessibility of archival materials. Well-versed in all aspects of archival preservation work including acquisition and accessioning, arrangement and description, cataloging, and preservation (physical and digital). Known for being a detail-oriented, open communicator who enjoys collaboration, research, and problem-solving, I am proficient with ArchivesSpace, Microsoft & Google Suites, metadata creation, digitization, and authoring Finding Aids. I have honed and expanded my skills in local, county, and academic archives, wherein I have demonstrated versatility and continual willingness to learn. Currently, I am pursuing a Digital Archivist Specialist Certificate from the Society of American Archivists. With my Master of Information degree (focused on Archives & Preservation), I am actively seeking an Assistant Archivist/Archives Technician, or Digital Archivist role. I am open to any career opportunities in added capacities that may otherwise utilize my skill set. I am keen to apply what I know and gain new knowledge and experience. Outside of work I can be found taking a rare ’67 AMC Marlin to car shows, conducting genealogy research, restoring historic artifacts around my house, and cooking.
