In June 2022, I joined the Corporate Communications, Media Relations, and Business Support Team, and am responsible for Growth communications across all lines of business. My most recent focus is to collaborate with my Corporate Communications colleagues and other line of business communication leads to create an integrated strategy and process for sharing information across audiences on Growth topics. I have an extensive background in graphic design, creative development, marketing, branding, data-driven communication strategies, sales, event planning, cross-functional leadership, crisis and reputation management. I am an analytical problem solver who has spent many years serving insurance and healthcare clients. Sharing insights from executives in the form of videos, blogs, and internal meetings is an exciting part of my role. Topics include sales/marketing goals, wins or challenges; new products; initiatives; market news; community service; membership drivers or focus areas - anything that is important for the business. With my crisis communications background, I continue to support Corporate Communications where I leverage my knowledge of the business to support teams responding to any crisis. My knowledge and experience working with all business lines, audiences, and departments at Blue Shield is a valuable asset when responding to corporate issues through a reputation management lens. Having handled public relations in my former role at Medical Center of Marin, I am excited to engage in this news-driven discipline on my new team Corporate Communication and Media Relations Team. I am an active participant in two major employee resource groups - Elevating Women and Disability Inclusion Alliance - and I serve on the leadership team of both ERGs. I am passionate about health care and Blue Shield's business and mission, including my ability to make a difference in this space because of my unbridled interest in its purpose-driven work.
