My most recent position has been to transition SAP into a compliant business as usual position. To date we have successfully migrated the DE, UK, IE, AT, ES, PT and NL markets (both commercial and manufacturing) from Oracle to SAP. The above were migrated over four project cycles. The fifth and most recent European, Asian and Latin American Logistic Centre (ELC) deployment entailed the following: • routings spanning 220 entities across 130 countries with over 60 VAT registrations • Enabled $34 billion of annual intercompany and third party revenues Due to the complexity of the business the tax determination required a standardized, adaptable logic in order to support the myriad of VAT requirements. The logic created used the customer and material tax classifications to manipulate the VAT output on such issues as-Movement of own goods -VAT Group Solution -Tolling -Domestic Reverse Charge -Sale on the High Seas
