About Lorelei King

I have over 30 years’ experience in the health insurance industry. In every role, I made process improvement changes that benefited the customer. I successfully led four projects in my last position without project management experience or PMP certification. My experience includes leading small and large group accounts including NJ Transit, NJ Bell, Ford and Chrysler and in the absence of the large group manager, PERA and University of Colorado. I have management experience in new group installation, renewals, billing, claims, correspondence and call centers. My experience includes knowledge of industry practice, SOX, HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act. My focus on the customer is primary and can be found within the resume of my career. My philosophy of people, process and profit in that order led to a broker requesting all his groups be handled by my team. Subsequently, I was asked to handle the service for a large corporate account that was contemplating moving to another carrier. The account renewed with us. I am a respected builder and leader of customer focused teams. My goal for the call center is to create an educational environment as opposed to the traditional complaint center. I do this by strategically managing inventories, addressing gaps in services and educating customers on services my employer has to offer. I build strong teams by taking a sincere interest in the employee, their concerns and their development. A well cared for and motivated employee produces a better experience for a valued customer.
