About Loren Laplante

Hello! People describe me as an operations leader. Sometimes, I agree with them. Other times I don’t agree, because the EXCELLENT teams I “lead” are actually pulling me, and I’m just along for the ride. I strive to surround myself with people who challenge me, exude passion, and teach me something new on a regular basis. My path to operations management has been unconventional. In 2004 I earned a certification in audio engineering because I was fascinated with the technology and art of recording. My passion and love for music kept me active in live sound for many years. I spent a decade in the printing industry, running large offset commercial presses, doing bindery, and ending my print career at a small Catholic book publisher. I consider this my blue collar era where I had a perpetual layer of ink under my nails and came home every night smelling like harsh solvents. I look back on it with fond memories and I’ve carried the wisdom I gained from that work with me to every job since. I enjoy playing bass as well as finding and collecting new music. I believe that all people possess inherent dignity. I am a proud father of a young man on the spectrum (ASD II). Special needs causes are close to my heart.
