About Lorena. Lorena is the Founder & CEO of Utopia Wellness Health Coaching and Yoga. She has over 14 years of experience as an educator and practitioner of Health & Wellness. She is the creator of the “LCT Method”, a simple guide to meditation; “The 5 Non-negotiable Principles of Wellness”, the essential components for supporting wellness, and “The 5 Pillars of Perception”, a simple guide to Neural Pathway Transformation. Her life’s work has been dedicated to educating individuals to physically and psychologically live well with chronic health conditions. Lorena’s holistic approach to improving disease is to decrease behaviors that increase chronic inflammation in the body by incorporating mind, body and spirit in the healing process. Some of her unique coaching methods include nutritional modification, movement, illness perception, yoga, and healthy human interaction. She is the current co-chair for John Hopkins Hospital’s Center to reduce cancer disparities advocacy group. She is also an Epigenetics researcher at John Hopkins. Her training includes a certification as a Holistic Health Coach and Kripalu Yoga Instructor. In addition, she has a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation specializing in Psychiatry. The origin of her immense passion, knowledge and education stem from her personal 19-year battle with an autoimmune disorder.
