I am currently a policy advocate at Community Water Center. My role as a policy advocate is to track and advocate for policies and programs that uphold the Human Right to Water such as Senate Bill 552, Multibenefit Land Repurposing Program, and Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. Previously, I worked as a California Climate Action Corps Fellow where my role was to aid schools within the Upland Unified School District in complying with California State Bill 1383, a bill passed with the intention of reducing methane emissions through reducing food waste in landfills and recovering edible food. As a recent graduate from Chapman University's Environmental Science and Policy program, I have developed skills in GIS, hydrology, chemistry, biology, and environmental policy. During my time at Chapman, I was engaged in research focused on understanding the thermoregulatory behavior of nudibranch species.
