About Lorena Rabelo

I am an Anti-Doping Expert with six years of experience working with National Anti-Doping Organizations (NADOs). My areas of expertise include: • Whistleblowing platform management • Interviewing athletes and sources of information (in Portuguese and English) • Conducting in-depth research and data analysis • Preparing comprehensive intelligence reports • Liaising with representatives of WADA, NGBs, IFs, NADOs and other stakeholders • Liaising with internal departments (e.g, Science, Testing Services and Education) to ensure an efficacious implementation of the Anti-Doping program • Planning and coordinating target tests • Acting as point of contact for DCOs/BCOs • Participating in activities to educate athletes about their rights and responsibilities I am passionate about sport as a social practice and wholeheartedly believe in its power to transform people’s lives and improve society. Recognizing the grave integrity issues sport has been facing, including corruption, doping, match manipulation and all levels of abuse, I believe in the joint effort of industry and academia in the fight for a fair, democratic, and inclusive sporting environment for all athletes, fostering healthy competition, solidarity and community.
