About Lorena Stile

Hey! Thank you for visiting my profile. Let me briefly introduce myself: My name is Lorena Stile and in 2020 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. I chose this study because I have always been interested in the entanglements of the international world. More specifically, this interest developed in the direction of the European Union and communicating all the EU and global-related issues. I also joined the Model United Nations Association (UCMMUN) at my former University, becoming its Vice-President in my last year. During my stay on the board, I also was in charge of communications management. I am a highly motivated and diligent person. I have a great facility to get around in other surroundings since this is my second year living in Maastricht. I can communicate well both speaking and writing in five European languages (Italian, German, Spanish, English, and French). I have also grown up with three different cultures such as the Italian, Swiss and Spanish. For the academic year 2021/2022, I have studied a Master in European Studies with a specialisation in Global Policy and Governance Challenges at Maastricht University. Acquired the notions of document and discourse analysis, social media analysis, elaboration of briefing notes, communication strategies, and press releases in a team-working environment, for the academic year 2022/2023 I had the motivation to continue my training at Maastricht University by studying the Master in Media Studies specializing in Digital Cultures. This Master’s has helped me deepen my skills such as developing websites with WordPress, academic blog writing, and conducting qualitative research with focus groups and interviews. My ambition is to develop a career in European politics representing the European Union’s interests. I have always been attracted to work in a dynamic team, managing European projects and help people to better understand the decisions and activities of the European Union. As well, I would also love to work in a field related to international media or communications agencies.
