Background

About Lorene Hattar

I am a passionate professional educator, coach and mentor who keeps kindness and empathy at the forefront of all that I do. Accepting new challenges comes readily to me as I see it as an opportunity to delve into new adventures and disciplines. I am an engaging public speaker who patiently works with young and adult learners. My dedication is unyielding and my approaches are varied in style and delivery, aiming to achieve the upmost level of endured understanding. I hold the pastoral domain of development paramount and embed this into all that I do. I began teaching in the USA at local government and private schools. Internationally, I worked as a language teacher for private schools in Amman and am currently employed at Amman Baccalaureate School (ABS). I participated in the NEASC & CIS Re-accreditation process at ABS and have been considered an asset to serve as a consultant and visiting team member in the accreditation process for other schools in the region. I have also worked as a Whole School Language coordinator and Director of Programme and I am proud of this accomplishment. I have been invited to present and participate in conferences and have conducted training workshops for local and regional educators and business professionals. I take pride in being best known for my positive attitude, inspirational spirit and role model attributes. I am also described as an emotionally literate individual. My unparalleled ability to understand others has made me an effective empathetic communicator among those younger and older than myself. I attribute this partly to my close knit upbringing and value for family. I have worked to set examples to my two young adult children and have remained well respected in the community; who would best describe me as a loyal role model and friend.
