As a finance graduate from San Francisco State University, I have a strong foundation in business administration and finance principles and practices. I am eager to apply my knowledge and skills in accounting and financial reporting roles, especially in the technology and video game industry. In my most recent role as a staff accountant at Marelich Mechanical, a mechanical contracting company, I took on an expanded role in the month-end close process, reviewing and processing the intercompany bill from our parent organization, EMCOR. I demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in reconciling multiple associated accounts, verifying all line items, and preparing and validating routine general ledger journal entries. I also gained trust and responsibility for preparing and submitting certified payroll reports, ensuring strict compliance with project and government regulations. I am proficient in Excel and I have completed the Learn with Workday certification. I am highly motivated, adaptable, and open to new experiences and learning. I am continuously seeking opportunities to develop my practical, real-world skills and knowledge of financial and accounting programs and software. I am also interested in pursuing a master's degree and other accreditations in the future. I am currently open to remote accounting roles that will challenge me and allow me to grow professionally.
