About Lori Apoll

What first drew me to healthcare is still what fuels me today: using medical technology to uncover insights that shape and improve people’s health journeys. Over time, this passion has expanded to include elevating professional practice—especially through Lean Principles. I’m proud to be recognized as the world’s first dedicated Lean Expert in flow cytometry. With decades of experience across diverse healthcare environments—from urban hospitals to a global medical device company—I’ve developed a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for the many stakeholders who contribute to patient care. These experiences have taught me the value of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. In the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with medical laboratories around the world, conducting Workflow Studies alongside leading flow cytometry experts. These partnerships have helped drive efficiency, quality, and innovation in lab operations. I’m also honored to have received the President’s Club award three times in recognition of my contributions. Outside of work, I’m actively involved with not-for-profit organizations—both in my local community and internationally—supporting causes that matter deeply to me. And above all, time with my family keeps me grounded and brings immense joy.
