About Lori Beard

growing up, i admired my mom—she worked tirelessly as a nurse, holding down two full-time jobs because she truly loved helping people. yet, she always told me, “don’t become a nurse.” she wanted something more for me, even though helping others was her life’s work. i didn’t fully understand it then, but i do now. after spending 10 years as a stay-at-home mom raising my daughters, i started working at blockhouse furniture in august 2006. i planned to stay through the holidays to earn some extra money for christmas and then i was going to quit until i figured out what i really wanted to do. however, nearly 19 years later, i'm still here—and i love what i do. while i didn’t become a nurse, i still get to help people—just in a different way. at blockhouse, i help support facilities that care for patients, students, and military personnel by providing durable, easy-to-maintain furniture solutions that create safer, more supportive environments. i help ensure the right furniture goes into the right spaces—because safety, durability, and comfort matter. from healthcare to higher education to the military, i’m proud to play a role in making everyday environments better for the people who use them. let’s connect—i’d love to learn how we can work together
